Oceanblue Glory of the Morning

Oceanblue Morning Glory

Star of the morning sprinkled in dew

You never saw the sea yet you’re ocean blue

Pink nectar guides point the way

Bidding thirsty insects to come and stay

Born of twisted vine twining to the sky

Midst a cluster of heart leaves you do lie

Fairest of flowers with a life so fleeting

Thanks for the gift of your lovely dawn greeting

  1. Mother loved Morning Glories. She would patiently train them up twine trellises in our backyard. The blue/lavender flowers always remind me of her green thumb.
