About Me
I’m happy to meet you. My name is Karen. I live with my husband in Florida although I grew up in the Midwest. We have raised three children and now enjoy seven grandchildren. An elementary school teacher for many years, I recently retired to pursue my loves of writing and photography, although my scope of interests stretches in many directions. As a result, my blog can be expected to blow here and there as does the wind. Life is good and I can’t wait to share my perspectives with you. Yours’ interest me as well, so let me hear from you. I look forward to reading your comments and promise to respond to as many as I can.

Although we live at opposite ends of the country, I believe we have a lot in common. I really look forward to following your blog and seeing your wonderful photos…not to mention the wonderful poetry.
Karen – what a great photo of wonderful you — your photography is beautiful – it reflects your soul. I grew up in the Midwest also, Minnesota, and now I live in California – near a wildlife refuge. Thank you for visiting my site and leaving your beautiful comments.

I love that dazzling photo, Karen! I’m glad to meet you and find your blog. Look forward to more visits.
Happy New Year, Karen!
Beatutiful photos of birds! You must have to sneak up on them to get such great shots. Good luck. =Paul
Thanks, Paul. Many of the water birds, particularly in pubic places, will hold still for you. With others I’ll confess to being sneaky. You have to be willing to sit quietly until the bird doesn’t feel threatened by your presence.
